29 <br /> Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked about the waitlist again for Pre-K and how the number <br /> compares to last year. <br /> Rodney Trice said it's about the same as last year. <br /> George Griffin added that in the first two years after COVID, CHCCS lost 800 students, <br /> so the decline has slowed down dramatically, but is still higher than anyone would want it to be. <br /> Chair Bedford asked about enrollment patterns at different grade levels. <br /> Rodney Trice noted stable high school numbers but continued challenges at elementary <br /> and middle school levels, requiring adjustments to programming and allocation formulas.
