This grant <br /> includes $41,499 in federal funding and a local match of$10,375, resulting in a total project <br /> cost of $51,874. This budget amendment increases the Fund Balance appropriation and <br /> Transfers to County Capital Fund by $10,375 within the General Fund. Identify priorities and resources necessary to implement the Orange <br /> County Transit Plan. <br /> OBJECTIVE 2. Increase community awareness of all modes of transportation including <br /> transit, bike and pedestrian, vehicle, and all other modes. <br /> OBJECTIVE 3. Support road projects that address congestion and reduce commute <br /> time using the County's Complete Streets policy. <br /> OBJECTIVE 4. Coordinate transit investments with municipal and county land use <br /> planning to reduce vehicle miles travelled and to provide more equitable access to <br /> shopping, employment, medical centers, college campuses, etc. <br /> OBJECTIVE 5. Invest in implementing the County's Safe Routes to Schools plan. <br /> OBJECTIVE 6. Update transportation related plans to provide more multi-modal <br /> options including rural Orange County. <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 10.The Department on Aging has received additional revenue from the Medicare Improvement <br /> for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA), totaling $30,073 to be used for staffing and <br /> program supplies related to the Volunteer Connect 55+ Senior Health Insurance <br /> Information Program. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds in <br /> the following Grant Project Ordinance, outside of the General Fund: <br />
