13 <br /> Sheriff's Office <br /> 23.Through an internal review, federal asset forfeiture funds were incorrectly posted to the <br /> County's General Fund in a prior fiscal year, rather than in a restricted Asset Forfeiture <br /> Fund. In order to comply with the legal requirements around the receipt and use of those <br /> funds, the County is required to move those funds back into the correct fund. This budget <br /> amendment appropriates $29,763 from fund balance and transfers those funds to the Asset <br /> Forfeiture Fund. <br /> ALIGNMENT WITH STRATEGIC PLAN: This item supports: <br /> • GUIDING PRINCIPLE — STEWARDSHIP AND ADVOCACY <br /> • We make proactive data supported decisions and advocate to local, state and Federal <br /> governments in response to our community's needs in a way that best utilizes our <br /> resources. <br /> Chantal Response <br /> 24.The County received an unsolicited $40,000 donation from the Dragonfly Fund of Bank of <br /> America. This donation will be utilized along with the Community Giving Funds to provide <br /> direct support to residents impacted by the storm. <br /> ALIGNMENT WITH STRATEGIC PLAN: This item supports: <br /> • GOAL 3: HOUSING FOR ALL <br /> OBJECTIVE 10. Support unhoused residents in obtaining temporary and permanent <br /> housing. <br /> • GOAL 2: HEALTHY COMMUNITY <br /> OBJECTIVE 4. Support the basic needs and financial security of low-income families <br /> through a robust safety net of economic supports that help build long-term financial <br /> security. <br /> Capital Project — Day Center <br /> 25.At the September 16, 2025 Board of County Commissioners' Business meeting, the Board <br /> approved staff to proceed with a compliance and Phase 2 design study for converting the <br /> 2700 Homestead Road site to a County day center. This amendment allocates $16,521 <br /> from the County Capital Reserve and allocates the funds to create the following project <br /> ordinance in the County Capital Fund.
