Provides a diversion option for individuals experiencing a BH crisis from the <br /> emergency department, the court system, or the detention center to immediate, <br /> specialized services <br /> 2. Enables stakeholders, especially law enforcement and emergency medical services, to <br /> provide a more appropriate and efficient response to a behavioral health crisis <br /> 3. Integrates County treatment services and resources through coordinated discharge <br /> planning <br /> 4. Provides care at a substantially lower overall cost compared to reliance on emergency <br /> departments and inpatient hospital-based services <br /> 5. Provides individuals and families with access to information, clinical care, support <br /> services, and assistance to navigate the complexities of BH challenges to mitigate the <br /> risk of repeat crisis episodes <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br />
