Exhibit A <br />Responsibilities for Medical Examiner Management Services between <br />Orange County, North Carolina and 4C: Central Carolina Cleaning Co, Inc. dba <br />Final Passage Transport. <br />1. Responsibilities of Orange County, North Carolina <br />a. Orange County will continue to own and maintain the facility, located at 3800 <br />NC Hwy. 70, Efland, NC, concurrent with the requirements outlined in <br />N.C.G.S. §130A-38. <br />b. Orange County will maintain all building systems, including the building <br />envelope, life safety systems, heating/air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, <br />electrical and alarm systems in accordance with established county policies <br />and building and/or fire codes. <br />c. Orange County will be responsible for the prompt repairs of any mechanical <br />or building system features and any damage, not resulting from a lack of care <br />or negligence of the other party. <br />d. Orange County will be responsible for the facilities risk management and <br />comprehensive insurance and fire policies. <br />e. Orange County will provide internet, phone, and uninterrupted power to <br />ensure the facility remains accessible and operational 24/7. <br />f. Orange County, through its Emergency Services Department, will assist, <br />when requested, with the disposition of prolonged cases within its jurisdiction. <br />g. The County will grant access to Final Passage Transport for the operation of <br />this agreement and immediately alert Final Passage of any facility <br />maintenance issues that could affect operations. <br />h. Orange County will provide payment to Final Passage within thirty (30) days <br />of provider properly invoicing the County. <br /> <br />2. Responsibilities of 4C: Central Carolina Cleaning Co, Inc. dba Final Passage <br />Transport <br />a. Final Passage will remain available for receipt of remains 24 hours a day/365 <br />days a year. <br />b. Final Passage will provide all janitorial and custodial cleaning supplies, <br />including, but not limited to, sanitary napkins, disposable hand towels, gloves, <br />masks, sharps containers, and other personal protective equipment as <br />deemed necessary. <br />c. Final Passage will ensure the facility is always kept in sanitary condition, <br />including the removal of refuse and biohazards from the facility. <br />d.
