Request Summary A grant from OCAC would greatly assist VOICES with its expenses for <br />soloists and supporting musicians for our upcoming 2025-26 concerts. <br />Because we are still planning our concert selections, decisions about the <br />best soloists available, and the specific instrumentation for supporting <br />musicians, have not yet been made. To provide clarity, we will apply any <br />OCAC grant funding we receive specifically to our fees for Dr. Shoko Abe, <br />our piano accompanist. Her duties include acting as our regular <br />accompanist at weekly rehearsals throughout our concert year (W inter, <br />Spring and Summer Voices when applicable); running sectional rehearsals <br />as needed; filling in for Dr. Futrell as director at rehearsals in his absence; <br />and performing with us at our concerts. As such, she is essential to our <br />work and our success. W e are thrilled to be working with Dr. Abe again this <br />coming year; she brings exquisite interpretation and sensitive musicianship <br />to all her performances. Dr. Abe’s total annual compensation for this <br />significant commitment is $12,500. <br />VOICES will cover the remainder of Dr. Abe’s fees out of VOICES’s general <br />operating funds, providing more than the required one-for-one match of <br />grant funding. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 07544190-1278-4B7D-88D0-425195859546
