The Board of Directors of the corporation shall be composed of representa- <br />tives from various socio-economic-ethnic groups in order that it be broadly represen- <br />tative of Orange County. Persons who are appointed as directors of the corporation <br />shall be nominated by or solicited from the following organizations, though not lim- <br />ited to these organizations, to-wit, as follows: <br />Orange County Agricultural Extension Service <br />District Health Office serving orange County <br />Orange County Welfare Board <br />Orange County Board of Education <br />Chapel Hill Board of Education <br />Board of Commissioners, Town of Carrboro <br />Board of Aldermen, Town of Chapel Hill <br />Board of Town Commissioners, Hillsborough <br />Community Action, Incorporated, Chapel Hill <br />Board of Commissioners, Orange County, <br />and from any other organization that may be actively contributing in orange County to <br />the purposes for which the corporation is organized. <br />The appointing authority, i. e., the Board of Commissioners of Orange County, of <br />the directors is encouraged to make appointments to the Board for a term of three <br />years, except that for the first year one-third of the membership of the Board should <br />be selected and appointed to serve for one year, and one-third for two years, and the <br />remaining one-third for three years, in order that the terms of one-third of the mem- <br />bers of the Board shall expire each year. <br />Officers of the corporation shall be elected by the Board of Directors except <br />that the Treasurer of the corporation shall be designated by the Board of County <br />Commissioners as the County Accountant or one of his assistants, and except that the <br />Secretary may be designated by the Board of County Commissioners as the person serv- <br />ing the Board of County Commissioners as its director of its office of Economic <br />Opportunity, if there be one. <br />IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands, this the 6n day of <br />December, A.
