She said there is also a requirement for flexible subdivisions 5 <br />that each lot must be served with its own water and sanitary sewage connection, and land within 6 <br />the University Lake watershed has more stringent requirements, generally one unit per five acres. 7 <br /> Commissioner Fowler said, based on that, it doesn’t sound like rural conservation 8 <br />clustering could happen in the rural buffer unless changes are made to the water and sewer 9 <br />requirements. 10 <br /> Perdita Holtz agreed that is probably true. 11 <br /> Commissioner Carter asked about water and sewer in a neighborhood on Highway 54, 12 <br />west of Carrboro. 13 <br /> Perdita Holtz said she doesn’t recall the extension of water and sewer in the rural buffer 14 <br />during her tenure. She said that the neighborhood is listed as an exception area in the Water and 15 <br />Sewer Management Planning and Boundary Agreement (WASMPBA).
