He described how the county requested a proposal from the School 9  <br />of Government for facilitation services. 10  <br />Vice-Chair Hamilton said there are planners with Central Pines Regional Council who 11  <br />might be interested. 12  <br />Cy Stober said they would ask. 13  <br />Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked when the Board would get answers to some of the 14  <br />questions they posed highlighted in blue in the agenda materials. 15  <br />Cy Stober said that information will be presented over the next 3 months. 16  <br />Commissioner Portie-Ascott said she was specifically interested in input from developers. 17  <br />Cy Stober said they’ve met with the Chamber of Commerce and the Home Builders 18  <br />Association. He said that staff would like the Board to have all the fundamentals of development 19  <br />down before they meet with developers. He said they will present all that material to the Board 20  <br />between now and December. He said they will schedule a conversation with the Chamber and 21  <br />Home Builders Association in early 2026. 22  <br /> 23  <br />7. Reports 24  <br />a. 2024 Climate Action Plan Annual Report 25  <br />The Board received a report on the first year of implementation of the Orange County Climate 26  <br />Action Plan, highlighting progress made toward the County’s greenhouse gas reduction and 27  <br />climate resilience goals. 28  <br /> 29  <br />BACKGROUND: In November 2023, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Orange 30  <br />County’s first comprehensive Climate Action Plan, committing to reduce greenhouse gas 31  <br />emissions 50% by 2030 and 100% by 2050.
