I m concerned about fairness and would <br /> love to help improve the process, and I also want the public to feel confident that the county is <br /> doing it s best to remain compassionate and nuanced in a complex and technical process. I d <br /> love to help think through how to communicate the details in a plain and simple way and <br /> answer some of these questions for the public up-front moving forward. <br /> How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> I would strive to bring a balanced viewpoint as both a citizen and local policy analyst. From my <br /> professional life I know the difficulty of balancing local policy goals with limited revenue tools <br /> and the whims of state and federal government. As a citizen, it s tough to work a dramatic <br /> property tax increase into my young family budget that includes rising grocery and childcare <br /> costs. I have read my neighbors emotional email discussions on our listserv, and attended a <br /> Marian Cheek Jackson Center presentation on the topic.
