See Attachment <br /> 2 3 for the notification materials. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Planning Board Recommendation: The Planning Board reviewed the Zoning Atlas Amendment at <br /> 5 its June 4, 2025 regular meeting. At this meeting the Board voted unanimously to recommend <br /> 6 approval of the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 7) and the proposed Zoning Atlas <br /> 7 Amendment (Attachment 9). <br /> 8 <br /> 9 The minutes from the meeting, as well as the Board's signed statement of consistency, are <br /> 10 included in Attachment 6. Agenda materials from the meeting can be viewed at: <br /> 11 https://www.orangecountync.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/ 06042025-2275 <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Planning Director's Recommendation: <br /> 14 The Planning Director recommends that the Board of County Commissioners: <br /> 15 1) Consider the matter for action; <br /> 16 2) Acknowledge that legally-sufficient public notice was given for the application and this <br /> 17 meeting, in accordance with State law and the Orange County UDO; <br /> 18 3) Review the staff report (Attachment 2), featuring analyses of UDO compliance, impact <br /> 19 of the use to the surrounding area, safety and efficiency of land use, and consistency <br /> 20 of the application with the Orange County's adopted plans; <br /> 21 4) Allow for the applicant's presentation of materials; <br /> 22 5) Conduct the public hearing, receive public comments, and consider the Planning <br /> 23 Board recommendation; <br /> 24 6) Close the public hearing; and <br /> 25 7) Vote to Approve the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 7) and Zoning Atlas <br /> 26 Amendment Ordinance (Attachment 9). <br /> 27 OR <br /> 28 Vote to Deny the Zoning Atlas Amendments, including a statement as to why the <br /> 29 application is not reasonable and/or not in the public interest, as detailed in the <br /> 30 Statement of Inconsistency (Attachment 8). <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Lauren Honeycutt, Planner II, made the following presentation: <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Slide #1 <br /> OMNGE COUNTY <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> Board of County Commissioners <br /> Meeting <br /> September 4, 2025 <br /> 7:00 p.m. <br /> 35 <br />
