However, the 24 <br />Animal Services Advisory Board has not had an opportunity to review her application due to the 25 <br />timing of submission and their last meeting. 26 <br /> The Board agreed by consensus to appoint the recommended applicant. 27 <br /> Commissioner Fowler nominated Dr. Ashley Robinson to fill the remaining vacancy. 28 <br /> The Board agreed by consensus. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Arts Commission – Appointments Discussion 31 <br />The Board discussed appointments to the Arts Commission. 32 <br /> 33 <br />BACKGROUND: The Arts Commission recommends strategies to promote the artistic and 34 <br />cultural growth of Orange County, advises the Board of County Commissioners on matters 35 <br />involving the arts, and acts as the granting panel for funding programs available to individual 36 <br />artists and non-profit groups sponsoring arts projects in Orange County. 37 <br /> 38 <br />The Board of County Commissioners appoints fourteen (14) At-Large members and one (1) UNC 39 <br />Student who serves a one-year term. 40 <br /> 41 <br />The following individuals are recommended for Board consideration: 42
