For each multicultural <br />artist you intend to <br />hire, please list their <br />name, race, and how <br />much you plan to pay <br />them. <br />Joel Keel, Afro-Trinidadian, $500-$600 <br />Rhonda Robichaux, two races or more, $500-$600 <br />Annie Velez, Hispanic/Latina, $1000-$1400 <br />How will the <br />project/program be <br />publicized and <br />promoted to reach <br />intended <br />participants? <br />A press release will be designed and sent to various local media outlets, <br />including print, television and radio. W e will also submit calendar entries to <br />free online calendars (like INDY week and Triangle on the Cheap). In <br />previous years, News of Orange has allowed us to write an article, so we <br />plan to do so again. <br />W e will ask local guilds, councils, galleries and shops to hang posters and <br />hand out postcards. W e will hire the Poster Guys to hang flyers throughout <br />Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Hillsborough. Volunteers will hang posters and <br />flyers throughout Pittsboro. <br />Calico Studio will update and install the billboard sign at the front of the <br />market site. Calico Studio will donate intern time to install yard signs within <br />a two-mile radius of the market. <br />Calico Studio will use its website, e-newsletter and social media to <br />increase awareness and drive traffic to the event. W e will encourage <br />participating vendors, artists, volunteers and staff to do the same. <br />W e also hope to invest in a package from W CHL during this grant cycle. <br />How will you <br />evaluate the success <br />of the program? <br />To measure success, we will track attendance numbers for the two days of <br />the fall and spring markets. A volunteer is assigned to both entrances to <br />track those numbers. <br />Additionally, we will encourage visitors to submit surveys by offering a free <br />ticket for a prize drawing for their completion. Information collected in the <br />survey will include demographics, the guest’s reason for attending, what <br />activities they participated in, what they most enjoyed about the market <br />and what they would like to see included in the future. <br />By comparing our results with results from previous markets, we can <br />determine if our numbers have increased, if the new activities are having <br />an impact on attendance and participation, and if we are attracting a more <br />diverse audience. <br />PROJECT/PROGRAM <br />BUDGET <br />Please fill out the charts below with your project's expenses and income. <br />Use the "Explanation" box to offer details for each category.
