Professional liability protects the speaker from the <br />allegations of negligence, error, omission, or misrepresentation that may result from their speech <br />content, delivery, or advice. <br /> <br />However, it depends on how we will use the speaker’s information after the fact. Meaning, if they <br />misrepresented something that later affected the County (caused a loss for the County), we could <br />possibly put in a claim against their insurance. <br /> <br />Professional liability insurance seems to be a sticking point for people, so maybe ask first if they carry <br />it. If they have it, then great.
