6 <br /> Attachment 2 <br /> September 2, 2025 <br /> Dear County Commissioners and Honorable Officials: <br /> I am writing to you regarding the naming of the Cedar Grove Athletic <br /> Softball Field #1, located on the grounds of the Cedar Grove Community <br /> Center Complex. <br /> This space holds great significance for our community, and I believe that <br /> the name chosen should reflect both the history and values of the Cedar <br /> Grove Community. <br /> Proposed Rationale: <br /> Mr. Willie Lawrence VanHook saw Softball not only as a sport, but as an <br /> avenue to reach and lift others throughout the Cedar Grove Community and <br /> abroad.
