Concept Plan Committee (May 2004- October 2005) <br />Skills Development Center Pocket Park ($60,000, County CIP) <br />The Pocket Park consists of the area in front of the Skills Development Center at <br />501/503 W. Franklin Street. It consists of a brick plaza area, with raised planting <br />areas that are also suitable for seating. The project has been under construction <br />for several months and was completed in early October, with the exception of the <br />plantings and pressure washing the masonry, which was delayed pending <br />release of water conservation measures by OWASA. <br />1. Plantings and pressure-washing to be done within the next couple of weeks <br />by contractor <br />2. The project includes streetscape improvements to the right of way that was <br />done in collaboration with the Town of Chapel Hill (they also funded $60,000) <br />3. Opening event to be scheduled
