My work has been supported by multiple <br /> conservation and infrastructure grants, and I've collaborated with the NRCS to implement a <br /> conservation plan on my 20-acre property. Beyond farming, I have a background in finance and <br /> data systems, having served as Director of Finance and led ERP and IT projects. This dual <br /> experience gives me insight into both land stewardship and the economic realities farmers face, <br /> particularly when it comes to long-term land use planning, farm viability, and navigating <br /> preservation incentives. <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br /> I'm committed to ensuring that small farms like mine can thrive and remain viable in Orange <br /> County. As development pressure grows, it's critical to have working farmers at the table to <br /> advocate for policies and programs that support active land use, succession planning, and <br /> regional food systems. Serving on this board would allow me to contribute practical, on-the- <br /> ground knowledge about today's farming challenges while helping shape programs like the <br /> Voluntary Agricultural Districts to be accessible and beneficial to a broad range of farm <br /> operations.
