Proposed Access and Transportation Network Improvements <br /> Carolina Friends School will maintain the existing access on Friends School Road. The existing gravel <br /> driveway on Mount Sinai Road will be improved for use as the access point for future Upper School. The <br /> access will be subject to an NCDOT driveway permit. <br /> Summary of Transportation Information <br /> Existing Roadway Characteristics <br /> Affected Roadway Friends School Road (SR 1719) and Mount Sinai Road (SR 1718) <br /> Type of Roadway Local (Friends School Road) and Minor Collector (Mount Sinai Road) <br /> Current Roadway Capacity 14,600 (Friends School Road and Mount Sinai Road) <br /> Latest Traffic Volume 800 AADT (Friends School Road) and 1,900 AADT (Mount Sinai Road) <br /> Traffic Generation <br /> Number of Trips Expected to be Generated by <br /> Proposed Project 1,110 per <br /> Full Transportation Impact Analysis (TIA) available via the ermit Portai. <br /> Proposed Utilities <br /> No utilities are proposed with this development. Carolina Friends School will continue to maintain the <br /> private utilities on the property and ensure that all wastewater is treated in accordance with State and local <br /> laws. <br /> Erosion Control/Stormwater Regulations <br /> The applicant has provided a grading and stormwater management plan (Attachment 1) and will comply <br /> stormwater management (Section 6.14) and erosion and sedimentation control (Section 6.15) regulations <br /> of the UDO. <br /> Landscape Buffers/Setbacks <br /> North 30 ft. land use buffer, 20 ft. building setback <br /> South 35 ft. street yard <br /> East 30 ft. land use buffer, 35 ft. building setback on property line bordering Friends <br /> School Road, 20 ft. building setback on all other eastern lines <br /> West 20 ft. land use buffer on western property line of PIN 9892-20-2052, 30 ft. land <br /> use buffer on all other western lines, 20 ft. building setback <br /> Environmental Assessment (EA) <br /> The applicant has provided an Environmental Assessment (EA) application and supporting materials as <br /> required in Section 6.16 of the UDO with their submittal. These materials have been shared with various <br /> State agencies via the NC Department of Administration's State Clearinghouse. Planning staff have <br /> reviewed the materials and agree with a determination of"Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI)" as <br /> required in Section 2.25.1 B 5 of the LIDO (Attachment 5).
