The <br /> following sections of the Personnel Ordinance are proposed for revision and consideration by <br /> the Board for approval: <br /> Article II. Recruitment and Selection — Section 28-12 Sexual Harassment <br /> The purpose of the revisions within this section is to broaden the scope of the policy to include <br /> workplace harassment. <br /> Article III. Conditions of Employment — Section 28-27 Workplace Violence Prevention <br /> The purpose of the revisions within this section is to update reporting requirements and <br /> responsibilities of directors, supervisors, and employees. Further to include defining uncivil <br /> behavior within the policy. <br /> Article IV. Employee Benefits — Section 28-36 Health Insurance <br /> The purpose of the revisions within this section is defining more appropriately county, employee <br /> and retiree contribution responsibility and defining the eligibility of a retiree returning to work in <br /> North Carolina Local Government. <br /> Article IX. Separation and Disciplinary Action — Section 28-92 Disciplinary Action <br /> The purpose of the revisions within this section is to refer to a pre-disciplinary conference <br /> instead of a pre-dismissal conference to not presume that dismissal is forthcoming as the <br /> outcome of a disciplinary conference. Further to make revisions based on consistent practice in <br /> the implementation of this ordinance. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item. <br />
