County Manager's Report <br /> Travis Myren said staff do not believe an excessive heat warning will be triggered, which <br /> would require the opening of cooling shelters under the Emergency Operations Plan. However, <br /> he said hot weather resources are available on the county website, which includes public buildings <br /> that can be used as cooling shelters. <br /> 10. County Attorney's Report <br /> John Roberts said the state legislature is moving bills rapidly through committee. He said <br /> an anti-DEI bill is up for discussion tomorrow. He said it has substantial negative repercussions <br /> for local governments. He said what the county has done to address presidential executive orders <br /> should mean there will be little direct impact to Orange County if this bill passes. He said he will <br /> keep the Board updated. <br /> 11. *Appointments <br /> None. <br /> 12.
