STAFF REPORT/UPDATES <br /> 60 a. MPO, RPO, and NCDOT <br /> 61 Nish provided updates on key projects. The 1-40 widening has experienced delays and is now expected <br /> 62 to be completed in 2026. New Draft STIP is anticipated in June 2025. Following a recent tragic incident <br /> 63 involving a fatality on Hwy 70, speed reduction and safety improvements in the area have become a <br /> 64 higher priority.
