Orange County Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan
Nish T. presented the final Transportation Multimodal Plan, the plan includes approximately 300
projects, focusing entirely on rural Orange County. The comprehensive draft document includes details
of the public engagement process, analysis, and summary, as well as the prioritization and scoring
methodologies, and all comments received during the planning process. The primary change involved
removing town projects. Despite this consolidation and thorough documentation of the planning
process, schedule, and purpose, there was discussion about the challenges of limited public response
to county plans. Discussion was held on the bike/ped map as being incorporated into the Transportation
Multimodal Plan. When Stantec completes the bike/ped plan, it will be incorporated into it.

Art M. made the recommendation to move the public engagement comments to an appendix, so it was
not the first information viewed. This would be consistent with the Short-Range Transit Plan.
