It's at the end of Uwharie Ridge Road, a private road with a 50-foot right-of-way. The road ends to
the north and connects south to state-maintained Jones Ferry Road. Surrounded by large-lot homes in the Deer
Mountain Subdivision, the property sits at the edge of the Haw River Protected Watershed, offering a peaceful, natural
setting.
This home occupation permit application proposes the construction of a 594 sq. ft. accessory building for office use,
approximately 400 feet from the private road. Field observations, surrounding conditions, aerial imagery, and other
site assessments indicate no significant impact on the transportation network. The entire area is privately owned and
maintained. While the project may result in a slight increase in vehicle ownership on the property, no changes are
anticipated along Uwharie Ridge Road.
