31 <br /> 1 ordinance amendments was held on April 7, 2025, to notify and receive input from stakeholders. <br /> 2 Comments were received from industry representatives and addressed. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Joint Planning Area (JPA) Review: In compliance with the Orange County-Chapel Hill-Carrboro <br /> 5 Joint Planning Land Use Plan and Agreement, the proposed amendments were sent to both <br /> 6 towns for comment on March 27, 2025. To date, no comments have been received. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Planning Board Recommendation: At its May 7, 2025 meeting, the Board voted 7-3 to <br /> 9 recommend approval of the Statement of Consistency and the UDO text amendments, with <br /> 10 some changes to the proposed text amendments. The changes recommended by the Planning <br /> 11 Board have been incorporated into the proposed Ordinance contained in Attachment 2. The <br /> 12 Planning Board's signed Statement of Consistency and an excerpt of the draft May 7, 2025 <br /> 13 meeting minutes are included in Attachment 3. Prior to making its recommendation, the Planning <br /> 14 Board had reviewed the materials in an "Ordinance Review Committee" (ORC) meeting on April <br /> 15 9, 2025. The amendments were modified since the Planning Board recommendation to focus <br /> 16 solely on those utilities related to communications. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Planning Director's Recommendation: The Planning Director recommends approval of the: <br /> 19 1. Statement of Approval and Consistency indicating the text amendments are <br /> 20 reasonable and in the public interest, as contained in Attachment 1. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 2.
