Please also <br />explain how the program aligns with the Town of Chapel Hill and Carrboro's Human Services Program <br />Results Framework and Orange County's Strategic Plan FY2025-2029 (250 words or less). <br />The Alliance seeks to establish a new paid summer internship program to <br />benefit Hillsborough's historic organizations while offering a student- <br />focused, skill-building experience. Running from May to August, the <br />program will place interns with three historic sites, where they will work on <br />specific projects that enhance their professional development. <br />This program addresses a critical need by supporting small-staffed historic <br />sites while providing students with hands-on, real-world experience in <br />heritage work. Interns will gain valuable skills, contribute to preserving local <br />history, and prepare for future careers, ensuring mutual benefits for both <br />the students and the participating organizations. <br />Target Population <br />The program target population demographics table is included as an <br />attachement on the application cover page. Please download the excel <br />spreadsheet and fill out the demographic data in the table and then upload it <br />with your application.
