ELEVATION NOTES:1. THE ARCHITECT HAS MADE GOOD-FAITH EFFORT TO ACCURATELY DOCUMENT THE LAYOUT AND SIZE OF THE WINDOWS BUT, DUE TO THE IRREGULAR NATURE OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS, DISCREPANCIES ARE EXPECTED. GC IS REQUIRED TO FIELD VERIFY ALL ROUGH OPENINGS PRIOR TO GENERATING SHOP DRAWINGS.2. THESE ELEVATIONS REPRESENT ONLY THE WINDOWS THAT ARE INCLUDED IN THE SCOPE REPLACEMENT. WINDOWS AND DOORS SHOWN AS HATCHED AND NOT LABELED ARE NOT IN SCOPE. ADDITIONAL EXISTING ELEMENTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO UTILITY DOORS, EGRESS DOORS, MECHANICAL GRILLES, STAIRS AND RAMPS, AND FREIGHT ELEVATORS HAVE BEEN OMITTED OR SHOWN AS DASHED FOR CLARITY. GENERAL CONDITIONS NOTES:1. EXISTING CONDITIONS DEPICTED HEREIN ARE BASED ON FIELD OBSERVATIONS, FIELD MEASUREMENTS, AND LIMITED EXISTING DRAWINGS. REFER TO "ADDENDUM 1 - EXISTING DRAWINGS" FOR MORE INFORMATION.2. GC SHALL MAKE REASONABLE EFFORTS TO MINIMIZE DAMAGE TO EXISTING CONDITIONS, AND SHALL PATCH AND REPAIR ANYTHING DAMAGED DURING DEMOLTION AND CONSTRUCTION.3. GC SHALL ALERT THE OWNER TO EXISTING CONDITIONS WHICH MAY HINDER WORK, I.E. TREES AT BUILDING PERIMETER, BEFORE PROCEDING WITH WORK.4. THE BUILDING WILL BE OCCUPIED AS WORK IS COMPLETED. GC IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING WORK WITH THE OWNER TO MINIMIZE DISTURBANCE AND OBSERVE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. THE GC IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ITS OWN POWER AND FACILITES. REFER TO PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS.5. REMOVE EXISTING WINDOW, GLAZING, BLINDS, FRAME, AND ITS ASSOCIATED PARTS IN ITS ENTIRETY. BLINDS ARE TO BE CAREFULLY REMOVED, LABELED, STORED, AND REINSTALLED FOLLOWING WINDOW REPLACEMENT. OPENING SHALL BE SECURED WITH EITHER A WEATHER-PROOF TEMPORARY PARTITION OR THE PERMANENT FRAME AND GLAZING. PREPARE EXISTING WALL TO RECEIVE A NEW FRAME AND PREPARE SURROUNDING AREA TO RECEIVE NEW FINISH SPECIFIED OR MATCH EXISTING IF NO FINISH IS SPECIFIED.6. OCCUPANT FURNITURE IMPEDING INTERIOR ACCESS TO WINDOWS SHALL BE MOVED OUT OF THE WAY BY GC, TARPED FOR DUST PROTECTION, AND REPLACED AFTER WORK IS COMPLETE.7.
