AQUATICS <br />General Operations Manual <br /> <br />Opening <br /> <br />There are a couple of items that need to be checked as soon as you arrive to the pool. <br />These are things that could prevent the pool from opening for the day <br /> <br />• Ensure that the pumps and filters are running correctly <br />--Check the flow meters on all three pools this will demonstrate that the pumps are <br />causing water to flow <br />--Check the influent and effluent gauges on the recreation and competition pools there <br />should be a 5 to 10 pound pressure differentials for both. <br />IF THERE IS MORE THAN A 12 POUND DIFFERENTIAL THIS RESULTS IN LOW <br />FLOW. <br />LOW FLOW COULD RESULT IN <br />-THE HEATER NEEDING TO BE RESET <br />-THE DECTRON NEEDING TO BE RESET <br />-THE CHEMICAL FEEDERS MALFUNCTIONING <br />Do not do any of the above until the pool has been backwashed and the differential within <br />range <br /> <br />• Ensure the chemical feeders are on and within acceptable ranges <br />--If not enough water is flowing thru the chemical feeders they automatically turn <br />themselves off <br />--Be sure that all appropriate valves are open, both in coming and out going valve points <br />--Ensure that the chlorine pump head is not broken, leaking, or otherwise malfunctioning <br />--Check all three units to see if they have reached a feed limit warning. If this light is on <br />even if the controller calls for Cl or CO2 they will not feed. To reset the controllers <br />simply unplug them for 10 seconds and plug them back in <br />--The ORP should be no greater than 800 and no less than 650 <br />-If it is too high there is too much chlorine in the pool <br />-If it is too low there is not enough chlorine in the pool <br />--The PH should be no greater than 7.8 and no less than 7.2 <br /> <br />• Ensure that all the lights turn on in the pool area, guard room, and pump room <br />--If the lights do not come on all breaker boxes will need to be checked to see if it is an <br />electrical malfunction that can be reset <br /> <br />• Check to be sure that there is enough Chlorine and CO2 <br />--The Chlorine level should be at least two feet high to last three to four days it is <br />supplied by Coastal Carolina <br />--The C02 should be at least at 25 percent to last five to ten days it is supplied by <br />National Carbonation <br /> <br />• Check to see if HVAC units are online <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 177AA06A-30B4-42FF-A85A-78B5A7C51DBE
