19 <br /> <br />Workplace Violence Policy <br />We are committed to preventing workplace violence. Conduct during and after work hours that threaten, <br />intimidate, or coerce another employee, a customer, a vendor, or anyone else will not be tolerated. Any <br />employee who violates this policy will be subject to discipline, including possible termination. Impermissible <br />conduct includes, but is not limited to: <br /> Making a verbal threat to harm another individual or destroy property; <br /> Making a menacing gestures; <br /> Displaying or expressing an intense or obsessive interest (such as a grudge or romantic <br />interest) in another individual or co-worker that appears to exceed normal interpersonal <br />interest; <br /> Attempting to intimidate or harass others; <br /> Engaging in behavior indication that the individual is significantly out of touch with reality; <br />and that he or she may pose a danger to self of to others; <br /> Throwing dangerous objects at any individual; or <br /> Possessing or displaying weapons on company premises. <br /> <br />It is necessary that every employee understand the importance of his or her role in maintaining workplace <br />safety and security. Employees should immediately report all threats or acts of violence, whether from a co- <br />worker or non-employee, using the reporting procedure described in this handbook on page 13 in the “How to <br />Report Harassment/Discrimination” section.
