o Katie has a few leads. She would like to have a musician fill one of the seats. Marlon has <br /> someone that he will contact. <br /> o Fred made a motion that Katie should reach out to Denise Duffy regarding the second <br /> vacancy. Lindsey seconded and all approved. <br /> • 2023 Leadership Slate presented by Katie. <br /> o Anita Mills — President <br /> o Crystal Wu — Vice President <br /> o Linda Williamson — Secretary <br /> Motion made by Krista and seconded by Lindsey to approve the proposed slate of officers. All <br /> approved. <br /> • The board thanked Fred for his excellent service as board president for the past two terms. <br /> • Katie discussed the need to complete new board member orientations for recent members that <br /> joined the board and for the 2 vacancies when filled. <br /> • For the December meeting we will have a holiday gathering at the Eno Mill on our regular <br /> meeting time - December 12th at 6pm <br /> 4) Director's Report Katie Murray <br /> • Grants/Eno Mill Presentation at 10/18/22 County Commissioner meeting. <br /> The presentation was very well received, and meeting was a great celebration of the arts. It <br /> highlighted the one-year anniversary of the Eno Mill. Katie thanked Saba and Marlon for being there. <br /> The Commissioners had good questions for Katie. <br /> o Infographic was a perfect summary of the impact of Eno Mill and could be shared easily on <br /> social media. <br /> • Eno Mill Update - <br /> o We need volunteers for Dec 2 opening <br /> o Holiday Bazaar December 3rd - 30 vendors + studio artists <br /> ■ PEFAB — hub for small food related start up <br /> ■ Cheese Shop — mobile <br /> o BIPOC Residency - unsolicited grant received for $10K <br /> ■ $6000 for Uproar, public arts festival in July/August 2023 <br /> ■ $4000 to do a BIPOC residency at the mill <br /> • Year of studio rent <br /> • $500 stipend to the artist <br /> • Hosted Show at the Eno Mill <br /> • Call for artists is out <br /> o Katie is also looking for an underwriter/grant for LGBTQ Teen Arts Collective ($3600 for <br /> one year). <br /> • January 2023 Eno Mill opening is a solo artist. Event will take place inside with the beverage stand in <br /> the back to encourage movement. There will not be a food truck at the event. <br /> • Future spaces at the Mill would include a ceramics studio and dark room facility when Katie and <br /> staff have the capacity to direct these efforts. <br />
