d) Reminder— September board meeting is on a different night - 9/19/22 — at <br /> Peel Gallery. <br /> e) Secretary will miss October 10th OCAC meeting and will need someone else to <br /> take minutes. <br /> 5) Liaison Reports <br /> a) UNC Student Liaison Update — no update <br /> b) Chapel Hill Arts Commission — need Liaison. Launched new Track Cohort of <br /> musicians. Chapel Hill Poet Laureate is open. <br /> c) UNC - Crystal Wu reported that Carolina Performing Arts and Playmaker's <br /> have announced their new seasons. Students moving back this week. Chapel Hill <br /> Town (not UNC) is hosting the South Arts Creative Placemaking Initiative (2-day <br /> conference) on Nov 3-4th. Downtown Partnership is bringing back bus skirts. <br /> d) Hillsborough Arts Council - John Bemis reported the Council has been <br /> focusing on finances and new board members. Open position for Gallery <br /> Manager. <br /> e) The Arts Center, Carrboro Arts, Visitor's Bureau, Orange County Artists <br /> Guild — no update. <br /> 6) 2022-23 GAP/APG Grants Disbursement Discussion <br /> • Board reviewed scores from the grant review subgroup meetings. <br /> • Grass Roots Organizations — reviewed funding scenarios and separated <br /> operational support organizational grants vs programming support. Board <br /> approved funding scenario 4 that prioritized organizational requests, high scoring <br /> program requests, and schools. Board also approved Katie reviewing <br /> organizational grant dollars to make sure it meets the needs of the County due to <br /> funding change, and if necessary, increase an award for one of these items. <br /> • Artist Grants — reviewed funding scenarios. Board approved funding scenario 1 <br /> that provided funds down to artist scores of 70% and above. <br /> Adjourned — 8:09 pm by Fred. <br />
