b) OCAA update <br /> Strategic planning is in progress. When the strategic planning is <br /> finished we will have an official launch. <br /> c) Big Night In <br /> The total raised was 260k. We do not know our proceeds yet. <br /> The board discussed continued involvement in this event. This <br /> was a tough year with donor fatigue, burnout, the Ukraine war, <br /> and the pandemic. <br /> d) River Park Arch <br /> Jonathan Brilliant is starting installation tomorrow. We will <br /> issue a press release. This will be going on during Last Fridays. <br /> e) Our Lens, Our Voice <br /> The county Criminal Justice Department partnered with artists <br /> to work with youth on photography and poetry projects. The <br /> exhibit will be open during the Last Fridays in April. There will be <br /> a reception for the board and others who have been involved on <br /> Thursday, April 28th <br /> f) Handmade Parade <br /> This will be held on Saturday, April 30th. OCAC will wear OCAC <br /> t-shirts and will be walkers for puppets. <br /> 6) FY 22-23 Grant Cycle <br /> Katie will discuss this fully at next month's meeting. <br /> 7) Liaison reports <br /> a) UNC Student Liaison Update <br /> Students are on spring break. Everything has picked up and the <br /> mask mandate has been lifted. <br /> b) Chapel Hill Arts Commission <br /> c) UNC <br /> The arts are active on campus. <br /> d) Hillsborough Arts Council <br /> Katie feels that communication with the arts council has improved. <br /> e) The ArtsCenter <br /> f) Carrboro Arts <br /> g) Visitors Bureau <br /> h) OCAG <br /> The guild has welcomed 20 new members.
