ORANGE COUNTY ARTS COMMISSION <br /> March 14, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Virtual Meeting-Zoom <br /> Board Members present: Fred Joiner, Chair;Anita Mills, Vice-Chair;Delia Keefe, Secretary; Crystal Wu, <br /> Lindsay Metivier, Marlon Torres, John Bemis, Linda Williamson, Sarah Shore, Sean Bailey, Hannah Fatool, <br /> Krista Bremer, <br /> Brad Porter <br /> Board Members absent:Justin Haslett <br /> Staff Present: Katie Murray, Executive Director <br /> 1) Anita called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm. <br /> 2) Marlon moved to approve the February minutes. <br /> Krista seconded. The minutes were approved. <br /> Fred took over the meeting. <br /> 3) In-person meetings begin in May. <br /> The board will begin meeting in-person in May. The <br /> meetings in Hillsborough will be held at the Mill. <br /> Peel Gallery in Carrboro will host the Chapel Hill meetings <br /> beginning in June. <br /> 4) Board member discussion <br /> a) Update on Mark Bettger <br /> Mark Bettger has been approved and will go to the <br /> BOCC in April. <br /> b) Application for Saba Jordan <br /> Marlon moved to accept Saba Jordan to the board. <br /> Fred seconded. The board approved this appointment. <br /> c) We need a representative to the Visitors Bureau. <br /> This is very important. <br /> 5) Director's Report <br /> a) Eno Mill Update <br /> i)April's show- HOME <br /> The show will be jointly presented by the OCAC and <br /> the OC Department on Housing. We received 64 visual artist <br /> applications and 24 applications from writers. <br /> ii) Camps <br /> We will announce 9 camps tomorrow. The camps are for <br /> all ages and are very affordable. Some are half-day. Some <br /> are full-day. <br />
