The <br /> festival will be delayed until July of 2023. It will take place in the <br /> downtown areas of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough. This <br /> festival will provide free and accessible art and will generate foot <br /> traffic. <br /> A stipend will be paid to all artists involved and public input will be <br /> prioritized in choosing winners. This community-wide event is in the <br /> early planning stages. <br /> 6) Liaison reports <br /> a) UNC Student Liaison Update <br /> b) Chapel Hill Arts Commission <br /> The commission is looking for clarity from the town for funding for <br /> public art maintenance. <br /> c) UNC <br /> New at Playmakers is Yoga Play. <br /> And there is a new exhibit at the Ackland—Peace, Power, <br /> and Prestige: Metal Arts in Africa. <br /> There is an MLK lecture on February 26tH <br /> d) Hillsborough Arts Council <br /> The Handmade Market and Parade will take place on April 30th <br /> e) The ArtsCenter <br /> f) Carrboro Arts <br /> g) Visitors Bureau <br /> It is important that the OCAC has representation on the Visitors <br /> Bureau.
