The Residential Anti-Displacement
and Relocation Assistance Plan for Orange County provides a plan to minimize residential
displacement and to provide relocation assistance to displaced residents in a timely manner.
The most recent plan was adopted by the BOCC on August 3, 1997. The state-funding agency
has asked that the Board adopt this policy again due to the lapse of time since initial adoption.
Subsequently, the Affordable Housing Advisory Board reviewed the Plan and recommend
adoption of the Plan. The language in the Plan has not been changed from the August 3, 1997
version.
Adoption of this policy is a requirement for continued participation in NC Small Cities CDBG
Program.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with approval of this Plan.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approval of the
Residential Anti-Displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan.
