The numbers presented are the composition <br />established via audit by the current recycling processor but are not a guarantee of current single <br />stream commodities; they shall be used to allow the Contractor to provide comparable response <br />to this RFP. <br />The Contractor may utilize these numbers for composition breakdown on contract initiation or sixty <br />(60) days prior to the effective date of the contract, request that the County deliver six (6) tons of <br />material to the Contractors facility that will be used to obtain a current measurement of the <br />composition of program recyclables collected by the County which numbers shall then be used to <br />establish the commodity breakdown. County shall have the right to have staff on sight to monitor <br />the sorting by Contractor undertaken to determine the percentage of materials. <br />MARKETING OF RECYCLABLES <br />The Contractor shall provide or act as a recycling market outlet for materials during the term of the <br />Contract regardless of market fluctuations. The Contractor shall not store or warehouse materials <br />in violation of health and safety standards and shall conform to all requirements provided for by <br />the state and federal agencies. <br /> <br />2.3.1 Processing, Transporting and Marketing <br />The Contractor shall bear all costs associated with processing, transporting and marketing <br />of Recyclable Materials. <br />2.4 PUBLIC EDUCATION <br />The Contractor will aid OCSW in providing public education services related to the recycling <br />program.
