i <br />(6 <br />TAX MVY RESOLUTION <br />To finance the appropriations just recorded the following tax levy resolution was intro- <br />duced by Commissioner Smith and seconded by Commissioner Cleveland: <br />There shall be levied for the purposes listed below the following County Property tax on the <br />$100.00 valuation: <br />For the Bond Fund a rate of .01574 <br />Property Revaluation a rate of .01264 <br />Public Health a rate of .05414 <br />School Current Expense a rate of .20979 <br />School Capital Outlay .35187 <br />School Debt Service .16273 <br />General Welfare a rate of 1 .04487 <br />A F D C to n if .01819 <br />" It A P T D If .01179 .. <br />14 A A .00183 <br />It 0 A A " If " .01636 <br />TOTAL RATE .90000 <br />per $100.00 of property valuation <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Smith, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland the following miscellan- <br />eous tax levy.resolution was introduced: <br />(1) A poll tax of $2.00 shall be levied on all male persons between the ages of 21 years <br />and 50 years. Twenty-five per cent (25b) of the proceeds of this tax shall be de- <br />posited in the Welfare Accounts and seventy-five per cent (75-:;) of the proceeds will <br />be deposited in the School Current Expense Fund. <br />(2) A Special School Tax of ;.17 on the $100.00 of property valuation shall be levied on <br />all property in the Chapel Hill School District. <br />(3) A Special Fire tax of $.10 on the $100.00 of property valuation shall be levied on all <br />property in the Greater Chapel Hill Fire District. <br />(4) On each open female dog six(6) months of age or older the sum of $2.00, on all other <br />dogs the sum of $1.00. <br />(5) On each marriage license a tax of $4.00. <br />(6) In accordance with Section B of the Revenue act (Article 2, Chapter 5, of the General <br />Statutes) and any other section of the General Statutes there is hereby levied a privilege <br />license tax in the maximum amount permitted on all businesses, trades, occupations, or <br />professions which the County is entitled to tax. <br />Chairman Bennett called for a vote on the above resolution, there were 5 ayes and 0 noes. <br />There being no further business to come before the 3oard, the meeting was adjourned. <br />Harvey D.
