OCHA oversees 687 Housing Choice Voucher(HCV, commonly known as Section 8), <br /> all of which are tenant-based.This number includes 18 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV), 5 <br /> Foster Youth to Independence (FYI), and 41 Veterans and Supportive Housing(VASH). OCHA does <br /> not manage any public housing units. OCHA is run by a seven-member Board of Commissioners. <br /> The Chapel Hill Department of Affordable Housing and Community Connections manages a total of <br /> 296 public housing units located in Chapel Hill and Carrboro.These units provide affordable <br /> housing to a diverse community of residents.
