51 <br /> JJ Data Update (See chart at end of minutes) <br /> June—3 juveniles at intake (0 were RTA); 13 delinquent complaints; 1 undisciplined complaint; 0 school- <br /> based complaint; 14 complaints approved for court; 0 complaints diverted; 0 complaints closed; 3 <br /> juveniles placed in detention for 38 days; and 0 YDC admissions. <br /> July— 10 juveniles at intake (5 were RTA); 58 delinquent complaints; 0 undisciplined complaints; 1 <br /> school-based complaint; 46 complaints approved for court; 1 complaint diverted; 0 complaints closed; 0 <br /> juveniles placed in detention for 0 days; and 0 YDC admissions. <br /> Consultant Update <br /> The House announced they would be releasing their own version of a state budget. House Bill 186, S.L. <br /> 2023-114 passed on August 2023 will become effective January 1, 2025. House Bill 834, S.L. 2024-117 <br /> passed in June 2024 and will become effective December 1, 2024. The 2023 DPS Annual Report has <br /> been published online and is available for review by JJDP staff and members of the public. The <br /> Rockingham County Youth Development Center received it's first youth placement in June. This is a 20- <br /> bed facility and is a hybrid Detention and YDC facility. The newly renovated Perquimans Juvenile <br /> Detention Center received it's first youth in July. It is a detention center that can house 24 youth. <br /> NCSAFE events should continue and be organized locally by JCPC's. "Toolkits" are available to assist <br /> with these events. The tentative open date for the Eckerd Short Term Male Residential facility is <br /> September 2024. Funding in the amount of 2.5 million dollars have been allocated to Community <br /> Programs to meet the needs of our population. The funding is focused on transitional support services to <br /> re-entry youth. HEARTH Transitional Living Program serves homeless youth who must agree to live in <br /> High Point. Haven House Transitional Housing First Model will provide housing for homeless youth in <br /> Wake County to prevent a return to homelessness. The program will serve up to 5 youth per year and are <br /> expected to open in September 2024. <br /> The Teen Court evaluation project ended June 30, 2024,with the final report scheduled to be presented to <br /> DPS Management August 27th. The report will be distributed to JCPC's, providers, and other community <br /> partners in September 2024. Final accounting must be submitted in NCALLIES, along with a general <br /> ledger uploaded, by Thursday, August 15, 2024. The deadline for all DocuSign signatures is Tuesday, <br /> September 3, 2024. <br /> Announcements <br /> The next JCPC meeting is October 4th at noon. <br />
