He said that <br /> 10 math and English adoption are two of the most expensive and the state only provides $350,000 <br /> 11 for textbooks. He said during the 2016 legislative session, general assembly removed master's <br /> 12 level pay to anyone new in the occupation. He said CHCCS is losing candidates to surrounding <br /> 13 jurisdictions that have the master's level pay, so CHCCS would like to institute this to retain <br /> 14 talented employees. He said they would also increase the supplement from 18% to 20% for the <br /> 15 first 15 years of employment. He said this matches what other surrounding counties are doing. <br /> 16 He said that to deal with decreasing fund balance they had to decrease force.
