A large number of residences and businesses, including many in <br />Orange County, lost electricity for extended periods of time as a result of the storm. <br />Representatives from Duke Energy and Piedmont Electric will be presenting information to the <br />Board regarding issues their companies confronted during the aftermath of the storm as well as <br />efforts their companies made to restore electricity to Orange County residences and <br />businesses. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with receiving the presentation. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the presentation <br />and provide any feedback to the companies' representatives and County staff.
