Provide for interior concrete slab joints to receive floor finishes. <br />2. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide one of the following: <br />a. Chem-Calk 950; Bostik Construction Products Div. <br />b. Vulkem 45; Mameco International, Inc. <br />c. NR-201 Urexpan; Pecora Corp. <br />d. Sonolastic SL-1; Sonneborn Building Products Div., Rexnord Chemical Products Inc. <br />E.One-Part Nonacid-Curing Silicone Sealant: Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, and complying with the following <br />requirements for Uses and additional joint movement capability: <br />1. Uses NT, G, A, and, as applicable to joint substrates indicated. <br />a. Additional capability, when tested for adhesion and cohesion under maximum cyclic movement per <br />ASTM C 719, to withstand the following percentage changes in joint width as measured at time of <br />application and remain in compliance with other requirements of ASTM C 920 for Uses indicated: <br />b. 50% movement in both extension and compression for a total of 100% movement. <br />c. Provide for flashing and sheet metal joints as required, and elsewhere as indicated. <br />2. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide one of the following: <br />a. Chem-Calk N-Cure 2000; Bostik Construction Products Div. <br />b. Dow Corning 790; Dow Corning Corp. <br />c. Siliglaze N SCS 2501; General Electric Co. <br />d. Silipruf SCS 2000; General Electric Co. <br />e. 864; Pecora Corp. <br />f. Rhodorsil 5C; Rhone-Poulenc Inc. <br />g. Spectrum 1; Tremco Inc. <br />h. Spectrum 2; Tremco Inc. <br />2.3 JOINT SEALANT BACKING <br />A.General: Provide sealant backings of material and type which are non-staining; are compatible with joint substrates, <br />sealants, primers and other joint fillers; and are approved for applications indicated by sealant manufacturer based on <br />field experience and laboratory testing. <br />B.Sealant Backer Rod: Provide compressible rod stock of polyethylene foam, polyurethane foam, polyethylene <br />jacketed polyurethane foam, butyl rubber foam, neoprene foam or other flexible, permanent, durable non-absorptive <br />material as recommended by sealant manufacturer for back-up of and compatibility with sealant. Where used with <br />hot-applied sealant, provide heat-resistant type which will not be deteriorated by sealant application temperature as <br />indicated. <br />C.Bond Breaker Tape: Provide polyethylene tape or other plastic tape as recommended by sealant manufacturer, to be <br />applied to sealant-contact surfaces where bond to substrate or joint filler must be avoided for proper performance of <br />sealant. Provide self-adhesive tape where applicable. <br />2.4 MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS <br />A.Joint Primer/Sealer: Provide type of joint primer/sealer recommended by sealant manufacturer for joint surfaces to <br />be primed or sealed. <br />B.Cleaners for Nonporous Surfaces: Provide non-staining, chemical cleaners of type which are acceptable to <br />manufacturers of sealants and sealant backing materials, which are not harmful to substrates and adjacent nonporous <br />materials, and which do not leave oily residues or otherwise have a detrimental effect on sealant adhesion or in-service <br />performance. <br />C.Masking Tape: Provide non-staining, nonabsorbent type compatible with joint sealants and to surfaces adjacent to <br />joints. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 186E0FF8-664C-4A5C-9F97-28196CE69FD1
