Orange County Health Department Improvements Smith Sinnett / 2024008 <br />Hillsborough, NC Orange County Asset Management Services <br />JOINT SEALANTS 07 92 00 - 3 <br />E.Special Installers Warranty: Submit a written, non-prorated full warranty, countersigned by the Contractor and the <br />elastomeric sealant Installer agreeing to promptly repair and replace those that leak do not otherwise comply with <br />performance and other requirements specified in this section for the following warranty period: <br />1. Warranty Period: Two (2) years from date of Final Acceptance. <br />F.Special Manufacturers Warranty: Submit a written, non-prorated full warranty, signed by the elastomeric sealant <br />manufacturer agreeing to promptly furnish joint sealants to repair and replace those that leak do not otherwise comply <br />with performance and other requirements specified in this section for the following warranty period: <br />1. Warranty Period: Ten (10) years from date of Final Acceptance. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MATERIALS, GENERAL <br />A.Compatibility: Provide joint sealants, joint fillers and other related materials that are compatible with one another <br />and with joint substrates under conditions of service and application, as demonstrated by sealant manufacturer based <br />on testing and field experience. <br />B.Colors: Provide color of exposed joint sealants as selected by Architect from manufacturer’s standard colors. <br />2.2 ELASTOMERIC JOINT SEALANTS <br />A.Elastomeric Sealant Standard: Provide manufacturer’s standard chemically curing, elastomeric sealant of base <br />polymer indicated which complies with ASTM C 920 requirements, including those referenced for Type, Grade, Class, <br />and Uses. <br />B.Multi-Part Nonsag Urethane Sealant for Use NT: Type M, Grade NS, Class 25, and complying with the following <br />requirements for Uses: <br />1. Uses NT, M, A, and as applicable to joint substrates indicated. <br />a. Provide as the general building sealant for all exterior and interior vertical and non-traffic horizontal <br />joints, unless otherwise indicated. <br />2. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide one of the following: <br />a. Chem-Calk 500; Bostik Construction Products Div. <br />b. Vulkem 922; Mameco International, Inc. <br />c. Dualthane; W.R. Meadows, Inc. <br />d. Dynatrol II; Pecora Corp. <br />e. Permapol RC-2; Products Research and Chemical Corp. <br />f. Sikaflex-2c NS; Sika Corp. <br />g. Sonolastic NP-2; Sonneborn Building Products Div., Rexnord Chemical Products Inc. <br />h. Dymeric; Tremco Inc. <br />C.One-Part Nonsag Urethane Sealant for Use T: Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, and complying with the following <br />requirements for Uses: <br />1. Uses T, NT, M, G, A, and, as applicable to joint substrates indicated. <br />a. Provide for exterior concrete paving joints, and for exposed interior concrete slab joints, subject to foot <br />or vehicular traffic; and equipment and isolation joints. <br />2. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide one of the following: <br />a. Chem-Calk 900; Bostik Construction Products Div. <br />b. Permapal RC-1; Products Research and Chemical Corp. <br />c. Sikaflex-1a; Sika Corp. <br />d. Sikaflex-15LM; Sika Corp. <br />D.One-Part Pourable Urethane Sealant for Use T: Type S, Grade P, Class 25, and complying with the following <br />requirements for Uses: <br />1.
