Members of the PRC shared <br /> their opinions on what questions should be posed during the workshops, and what <br /> information would be most relevant. Station 3 will be Vision Statement Mad Libs. Martucci noted that feasibility <br /> would be an important consideration for her when ranking potential connections. <br /> Specifically, if there were ways to denote public land and open space. Manager Recommended Capital Investment Plan —Stancil presented the CIP that the <br /> Manager brought to the Board of County Commissioners just the evening before. In the <br /> upcoming CIP, County funds are being primarily allocated to the schools, with many park <br /> projects being deferred for later years. The CIP is a 10-year plan, with only the first year <br /> on the plan being approved as part of the upcoming budget, and all other years are <br /> reevaluated each budget cycle. While the funding is still several years away, planning for <br /> the new Central Recreation Center facility will need to begin in the next few years. <br /> Stancil also noted that the CIP does not included funds allocated in previous years. <br /> e. May 7 Meeting Location —Council discussed the options for the May park/picnic <br /> meeting. Staff will evaluate shelter availability between Blackwood Farm Park and <br /> Fairview Park. <br /> Old Business <br /> a. Project/Program Updates—Stancil encouraged the Council to review the Soccer.Com <br /> report. The disc golf course at Blackwood Farm Park is undergoing another review of the <br /> proposed course to reconcile bird habitat concerns with the course design. The skills <br /> course at Little River Regional Park will be open soon following the final MOU with <br /> Triangle off-road cyclists (TORC). The new tennis/pickleball courts at Fairview Park <br /> should be open beginning in June.
