The <br /> parcel's address is 1125 New Grady Brown School Road, Hillsborough, within the Hillsborough <br /> Township. This notification is occurring in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.8 Zoning <br /> Atlas and Unified Development Ordinance Amendments of the Orange County Unified <br /> Development Ordinance (UDO). You are receiving this notice because you own property <br /> located within 1,000-feet of the parcels requested for rezoning. <br /> YOUR PROPERTY IS NOT PROPOSED FOR REZONING. <br /> Property Information <br /> Parcel ID Number(PIN) 9863-28-1858 <br /> Owner Orange County <br /> Applicant Orange County <br /> Location 1125 New Grady Brown School Road, Hillsborough <br /> Acreage +/- 69.58 acres <br /> Current Zoning R-1 (Rural Residential) <br /> Proposed Zoning NR-CD (Non-Residential Conditional District) <br /> Watershed Designation Lower Eno Unprotected Watershed <br /> What is being proposed? <br /> Orange County, in coordination with Orange County Schools, has initiated a Zoning Atlas Amendments <br /> in order to bring the existing Cedar Ridge High School site into compliance with the Orange County <br /> Unified Development Ordinance and to allow for future development and improvements (i.e. accessory <br /> structures, expansions, etc.) to the identified future development footprint. The applicant and property <br /> owner are requesting a rezoning of the +/-69.58 acres property to NR-CD. The applicant has provided a <br /> site-specific plan featuring the existing high school, tennis courts, track and field facilities, accessory <br /> structures, and the proposed pole barn. <br /> What is this meeting for? <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed rezoning. <br /> Interested persons are invited to address the County Commissioners with their comments regarding the <br /> rezoning application. The Orange County Planning Board, an advisory board comprised of appointed <br /> volunteers, reviewed this application at its April 9, 2025 regular meeting and voted to recommend <br /> approval of the rezoning request. <br />
