Phase 2 OCHD – The OCHD Way by The Carden Group Page 1 <br />Orange County Health Department (OCHD) <br />Continue Creating A Culture of Excellence - Leadership By Design (Phase 2) <br />Process Description/Purpose <br />OCHD – The OCHD Way <br />(Phase 2) <br />The purpose of this initiative is to continue helping Orange County Health Department (OCHD) create <br />leadership development and even better teamwork, that will help them to continue building a strong future, <br />culture and work environment. To do that The Carden Group (TCG) would continue supporting OCHD with <br />ongoing efforts from “phase 1” and build additional development for leaders within OCHD to continue <br />improving the performance of their management team and their teams. TCG would focus on continuing to <br />help develop the right skills, habits, behaviors, attitudes and processes to ensure a strong working environment <br />that leads to better outcomes for OCHD. Also, to ensure OCHD leaders have the proper skillset to create an <br />even better future. <br />• Continue to strengthen and develop proper skillsets <br />• Continue to strengthen working relationships for better outcomes <br />• Continue creating even stronger team member engagement <br />• Continue creating clarity and alignment around goals and expectations at all levels <br />• Ensuring everyone understands their value and impact they have within their role <br />• Ensuring proven methods of development that lead to predictable results <br />Background <br />OCHD believes there is an opportunity to continue working with TCG and continue the work for a better path <br />forward and better results. Better staff retention, engagement, and a strong overall work environment will be <br />some of the goals for OCHD. TCG will focus on better outcomes at all levels. This approach will collaborate with <br />all existing OCHD efforts around culture and engagement. This includes an estimated 115 total staff and a direct <br />focus on an estimated 6-25 leaders. <br />The Carden Group <br />TCG believes that organizations MUST design a culture that people LOVE.
