2 <br /> contract is already budgeted within the FEMA Emergency Management Performance Grant funds, <br /> outside of the General Fund. <br /> Based on the June 2024 Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan Interlocal Agreement, the <br /> Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough shall reimburse funds to the County based on <br /> the adopted cost share agreement of 17% per municipality. Per the approved cost-share <br /> agreement and the updated contract amount for the Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan <br /> expense, the Towns will reimburse the County 17% of the contract amount, not to exceed $28,294 <br /> per municipality. <br /> Budget Amendment #9-C recognizes the municipal revenue and increases authorization within <br /> the General Fund by $84,882 for the portion of the contract supported by the municipalities. <br /> ALIGNMENT WITH STRATEGIC PLAN: This item supports: <br /> • GOAL 2: HEALTHY COMMUNITY <br /> OBJECTIVE 5. Invest in, support, train, and retain our community safety, health, and <br /> emergency services employees and direct care workforce. <br /> OBJECTIVE 6. Provide sustainable, equitable, and high-quality community safety and <br /> emergency services to meet the community's evolving needs. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve and authorize the <br /> County Manager to sign the amendment to the Interlocal Agreement and all documents necessary <br /> for the procurement of services with IEM, Incorporated for the update of the Comprehensive <br /> Emergency Operations Plan, and approve Budget Amendment #9-C. <br />
