Improve educational opportunities for County staff and community <br /> members on climate action and available resources to advance climate action projects. <br /> Criminal Justice Resources Department <br /> 3. The Criminal Justice Resources Department has received a Vera Institute of Justice grant <br /> contract in the amount of $72,000 to cover March 6, 2025 — March 5, 2030. This grant is <br /> for a collaboration with the District Attorney's Office to expand equitable access to <br /> diversion. This grant will be used to fund Client Needs such as harm reduction materials, <br /> transportation, food, clothing and a temporary Community Justice Specialist to work closely <br /> with County diversion programs to assist in jail intakes, referrals to programming and <br /> services, ensuring pretrial release conditions are followed and addressing needs and <br /> compliance issues. Communications Towers Trust Fund — The Communications Towers Trust Fund accounts <br /> for application fees paid to the County by telecommunication companies, with these fees <br /> being used to pay costs associated with determining tower location and construction.
