Commissioner Ravitch officially withdraw the proclamation. <br /> B. Outreach & Engagement: Chair Rhian <br /> Commissioner Carreker-Ford reached out to other boards for collaboration and to see if there is any <br /> overlapping. Commissioner Carreker-Ford invited Commissioner Lynn Nielsen from the Affordable <br /> Housing Board to talk about joint efforts between the HRC and the Affordable Housing Board. <br /> Discussion of interest in community needs around affordable housing and concerns not being <br /> addressed. In August their board will host a community outreach meeting; they are in the process of <br /> putting together what it would look like. They are also taking inventory for what types of affordable <br /> housing exists and hope to have that completed by September 2025. <br /> C. Community Events: Co-Chairs Tonya &Corey <br /> i Pauli Murray Award - May 18, 2025, 3:00p <br /> Event will be held at the Seymore Center in Chapel Hill. Nominations and Contest information has <br /> been posted and sent to HRC members. Agenda is being set. Quotes have been received for the DJ <br /> and Caterer. Contact has been established with the Pauli Murray Center for possibility of a <br /> collaboration. Outreach and Engagement will be working on the invite list. <br /> VI I. Other Business/Announcements <br /> A. Board Vacancy — Commissioner Ravitch made a motion to move forward with the top four <br /> scoring applicants for membership to the HRC. Second by Commissioner Jones. Unanimous <br /> vote. Approved. <br /> B. Housing cases are currently being evaluated by HUD until an investigator is hired. <br /> C. Ridgewood residents are being helped. <br /> VIII.
