If applicable, is there a fiscal impact(i.e.,funding, <br /> staff time,other resources)associated with these proposed activities(please list). <br /> Youth delegates. Continue to support ocas in efforts and continue as sounding board <br /> What are the concerns or emerging issues your board has identified for the upcomingyear <br /> that it plans to address,or wishes to bring to the Commissioners'attention? <br /> Managing Pet Overpopulation:The ASAB supports Animal Services in providing free spay and <br /> neuter services to the community, a critical initiative for managing pet overpopulation. Following <br /> the loss of the primaryvendor, SNAP-NC,Animal Services has faced challenges in identifying <br /> alternative low-cost sterilization options, including partnerships with veterinary clinics. <br /> ASAB Vacancies and Other Deliverables:The ASAB reviews applications for the annual Pat <br /> Sanford Animal Welfare Award, reviews outside agency funding applications, and provides other <br /> deliverables as needed.The board assists the BOCC in ensuring that ASAB vacancies are filled in <br /> an effective manner and new members are oriented in a timely manner. In this pursuit, care and <br /> effort will be given to diversity and making the ASAB a more representative body. <br />
