I worked for <br /> the Orange County Department on Aging for 10 years and was a liaison to this committee for a <br /> while. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> The experiences mentioned above made me aware of the need for the community to take an <br /> interest in the welfare of the residents in nursing homes. <br /> Conflict of Interest: <br /> Work Experience: Occupational therapist since 1974. 1 have worked with the geriatric <br /> population in various settings such as skilled nursing, home health, assisted living. <br /> Presently working for the O.C. Department on Aging in the Eldercare office. As an <br /> occupational therapist, I have worked with older adults for 30 years. I'm presently <br /> helping seniors remain at home and I have worked closely with the faculty at the UNC <br /> Occupational Science Division to create programs helping seniors remain safely at <br /> home.
